Ms. Kim Harmon, a 3rd grade teacher at Ben Milam Elementary School, graduated from her home state university – Indiana.
A veteran teacher of 10 years, Ms. Harmon has participated as mentor teacher for Dallas Teacher Residency for the past 2 years. According to Ms. Harmon, the opportunity to serve as a mentor teacher is incredibly valuable. As a mentor teacher, not only is she able to help coach and develop the resident teacher in her classroom, but the experience of being a mentor teacher has also helped her continue to develop as an educator.
Each year, Ms. Harmon looks forward to the opportunity to work alongside, coach, and learn from new faces and new resident teachers.
When Ms. Harmon is not teaching, you might catch her in her free time salsa dancing!
